Our company has been involved in structural design of domestic timber since 1981. Over 90% of houses use 100*50 studs @ 600 centres with 100*50 nogs @ 800c/c. This article considers the question - should we continue with this pattern or should we be using studs at 400 centres without nogs which is cheaper and quicker to construct? Issue 3 Vol 8. |
