NZS 3604:2011 – new Qs and As
  Standards New Zealand has prepared a number of questions and answers (Qs and As) about the recently published NZS 3604:2011 Timber-framed buildings. These are available from the Standards website.
David Carter Launches the new NZ Wood Design Advisory Centre.
  At a function in the Beehive the new NZ Wood Design Advisory Centre was launched on 7 December 2010 by The Minster of Forestry, the Hon David Carter. The Centre, hosted by NZ Wood, provides free concept feasibility advice, demonstrating the possibilities offered by modern wood construction technologies.
Minister recommends wood for reconstruction of Christchurch multi-storey buildings
  In the light of the Christchurch earthquake, Minister of Forestry, David Carter, has called on the construction industry to seriously consider timber as a rebuilding option, even for multi-storey buildings.
Timber Design Awards: The winners
  The visitors’ centre at Waitomo Caves took out three of the top prizes at the NZ Wood Timber Design Awards announced at a function held at Te Papa in Wellington on Monday 11 October.
