Report: Carbon Footprint of New Zealand Buildings

The objective of this report is to quantify the embodied carbon benefits of increasing the number of timber buildings in New Zealand.

It is an update of data in a 1999 paper: Wood-based building materials and atmospheric carbon emissions, by Andrew H. Buchanan and S. Bry Levine. Environmental Science & Policy 2 (1999) 427-437.
