The unique and architecturally-driven Fisher & Paykel Appliances’ Global Headquarters in Auckland celebrates mass timber with a unique curved diagrid structure. This presentation gives an overview of the innovations and challenges in the structural design process of this ambitious project. Speaker's bio Jaimie Whitehead is an Associate at Dunning Thornton with 10 years of experience as a structural engineer. She is involved in all aspects of the design and construction process, and enjoys working closely with clients, architects, and the construction team to deliver high-quality projects across New Zealand. Her experience spans across projects of many scales, from houses and small commercial projects up to complex architectural multi-storey apartments and large civic buildings such as the Nelson Airport Terminal.
