Long-Span Timber Buildings – A Review of Recent International Projects

An extensive international literature search forcontemporary long-span timber buildings identified atotal of 61 that were subsequently studied and analysed.They are categorized into four groups; portal frames,surface structures, arches and other structures.The dominant timber structural materials are LVL,glulam and poles. Plywood and sawn timber was notused extensively.
