Utilising Large Sawn Timber Structural Products

As mass timber construction grows in the New Zealand construction industry, large sawn timber elements are often utilised as part of the building system. This paper focuses on the application of sawn timber as critical structural elements. It identifies some opportunities for improving the constructability of these structures and the effect of temperature and humidity on sawn timber as it is incorporated into a building.
