Wood has been used as a construction material for hundreds of years. New engineered wood products such as Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) and new connections are investigated over time as a result of resource constraints and rising market demands. Glued-in rods are one of the frequently used connections in new timber construction, as well as reinforcing existing timber buildings.
